Selenium is a fundamental element of the glutathione-peroxidase enzyme which, in synergy with vitamin E, has the function of protecting the phospholipids of cell membranes from oxidation-reduction reactions. It can be added both in inorganic form and as organic selenium. Its deficiency can cause problems with genitalia and myopathies in young animals.

The product is available in concentrations of 1% and 4%.
