Microalgae
Features
Microalgae are unicellular photosynthetic organisms.
A myriad of highly useful compounds have been found in microalgae that can also be used in the field of animal nutrition.
Large-scale cultivation is becoming more and more widespread and there are cultivation systems that utilise sunlight and artificial lighting systems.
Microalgae contain compounds with high antioxidant power such as phycocyanins, xanthophylls and other pigments. The most widely known and commonly used species are spirulina and chlorella, but we are also able to source less well-known species such as Hematococcus and Dunaliella
